Michael Limon

President

Michael Limon began his career in 2012 as a school police officer with Santa Ana Unified School District. During the past nine years he has served in a variety of capacities, which include a school resource officer (SRO), patrol and a motor officer. Officer Limon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in criminal justice. He has served as Vice President and Sergeant at Arms for SASPOA and currently holds the position of President.

Micheal Limon, Jr.

Vice President

Since 2020, Officer Limon Jr. has served as a devoted member of the Santa Ana School Police Department. He has demonstrated versatility in roles such as one of our department’s firearms instructors, explorer advisors, and CPR/first aid instructors. He also holds a current EMT certification, which enhances his ability to address both medical and law enforcement situations. With a background spanning in patrol duties and as a School Resource Officer, Officer Limon combines practical experience with a commitment to community safety and public service. Officer Limon Jr. is currently serving the Santa Ana School Police Officer’s Association as Vice President.

Danny Rodriguez

Treasurer

Officer Danny Rodriguez joined the Santa Ana Unified School District Police Department as a Police Officer in January 2011. He is currently assigned as a patrol officer for the department. During his tenure with SASPD, Officer Rodriguez has worked as a School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer and Police Explorer Advisor. Officer Rodriguez has also worked as a Gang Reduction and Intervention Partner with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, (OC GRIP), which is a law enforcement partnership that identifies at-risk youth and aims to increase school attendance and decrease gang activity.

Officer Rodriguez is also an active volunteer with the Santa Ana Federal Credit Union as a sub-committee member to the credit union's board of directors. Additionally, he is a volunteer Treasurer and member of the board of directors for Civic Center Barrio Housing Corporation in Santa Ana, a non-profit organization that provides housing to lower income families in Orange County and San Diego County.

In 2021, Officer Rodriguez was elected by his peers as the Treasurer for the Santa Ana School Police Officers’ Association.

Luis Macias

Secretary

Officer Macias began working for the Santa Ana Unified School Police Department in 2018 and is a graduate from the Orange County Sheriff’s Academy where he received the arrest and control technique award. During his time at the Santa Ana School Police Department, Officer Macias has served as an Explorer Advisor, Orange County GRIP Liaison and is currently assigned as a School Resource Officer. Officer Macias is a first-generation college graduate from Oregon State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with emphasis in Criminal Justice. Officer Macias has been serving as the SASPOA treasurer since 2021.

Kit Nguyen

Sergeant at Arms

Officer Nguyen began his career with the Santa Ana School Police Department in 2012 and is currently assigned to dayshift patrol. During his time with SASPD, he has served in several capacities to include Explorer Advisor, School Resource Officer, GRIP Liaison, and is currently the Department Armorer. Officer Nguyen is also currently serving in the US Army where he served as a Combat Engineer, Drill Sergeant and Human Resource Specialist.
